Who We Are

Americare’s top-quality service is rooted in the superior qualifications of each member of our staff. We invest in our caregivers through ongoing training and career development, with a focus on cultural sensitivity in recognition of the unique needs of every patient.

Compassion is critical to our approach, the underpinning of everything we do. At Americare, we are acutely aware of the emotional, physical, and financial stress associated with caring for a loved one at home. Quick answers to your questions and quick placement are our hallmarks. Whether you are a social worker, nurse, doctor, or concerned family member, we provide you with answers and services to meet the specific needs of you and your patient or loved one.

Our dedication to providing the best possible home care is as strong now as it was when we first opened our doors four decades ago. Americare has a 5-star rating – the highest available in New York, and well above the national average. We help seniors age in place, in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, surrounded by family and friends. We also offer a comprehensive suite of skilled nursing, physical therapy for adults and children, and pharmacy services. Americare is renowned for its tradition of caring, with thousands of satisfied clients.

Leadership

Elly Kleinman is the President and CEO of The Americare Companies. Founded in 1982, The Americare Companies provide a wide range of healthcare services in New York State, including home health, rehabilitation, and pharmacy services; as well as rehabilitation, pharmacy, managed care services, and international nurse recruitment for healthcare facilities nationwide. Americare is one of New York’s largest healthcare organizations, with the highest possible 5-star rating for quality and clinical services delivery from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

In his role as president and CEO, Mr. Kleinman is responsible for spearheading longstanding collaborative relationships with partners in the healthcare space, including hospitals, short-and long-term rehabilitation facilities, and insurance providers across the country.

Building on these partnerships and investing in the ongoing professional development of staff provides the foundation for Americare’s high level of service, which focuses on a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each and every patient through clinical research and analysis. Americare’s Special Projects Team presents its statistics, conclusions, and clinical implementation plan to healthcare organizations to assist in the reimbursement process – including Value-Based Payment structures.

Through Mr. Kleinman’s passion and determination to identify new tools and technology to expand its universe of services, Americare offers innovative and effective programs like telehealth to exchange information in real time and bring doctors closer to the patients they’re treating.

The son of Holocaust survivors, Mr. Kleinman is also dedicated to a number of Jewish philanthropic efforts. Most notably, he is the founder and driving force behind the Amud Aish Memorial Museum (AAMM) & Kleinman Holocaust Education Center (KHEC), located in Brooklyn, New York.

Stories of Care

Braun Family“Our dear mother, an Auschwitz survivor, has been an active member of the Boro Park community for the past 65 years. Although the status of her health remains compromised, her love of Yiddishkeit and bitachon in Hashem has never ebbed.”
Joseph L.“If not for all the Americare staff, I would not be living with the same relaxation knowing my father is being 100% taken care of. My dad’s great quality of life in large part are because of his home healthcare aid Jay and therapist Jack.”
Alfred H.“Having heard about Americare through his neighbors recommendation, 83 year old Alfred visited one of our storefront offices for help. He came to us with documents from Medicare/Medicaid, and speaking only Cantonese, he did not know what they were asking for.”
