Americare sponsors BBQ for special needs children!

What a day!! Americare home care celebrated our special needs children yesterday by sponsoring a Festive summer BBQ for them and their families.

On a beautiful sprawling campus in Glen Spry NY, Camp Mizmor allows children with special needs to have a break from city life, enjoy the fresh air, learn new skills, all while being supervised and medically cared for. The camp was started by an exceptionally talented, indefatigable father of a special needs child Mr. Harry Miltz. He utilizes his personal experience in caring for a special needs child to create the most loving, caring atmosphere while providing much-needed respite for families who care for a special needs child all year long. Americare Homecare provides nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy and any other therapy services the child requires.

This past Sunday, Americare hosted a fun-filled day for the campers, their siblings and parents. Besides a delicious BBQ spread, the children were treated to clowns, face painting, wall climbing, and various other carnival activities. Mr. Faivish Pewzner, the COO of the Americare Companies and person responsible for Americare’s joining forces with Camp Mizmor was on hand to join in fun “Americare is honored to join with Mr. Miltz in his holy mission of caring for these special needs children in such a dignified loving way. To be here and witness the joy this camp brings to its campers and their families is truly a special experience and we thank you for the opportunity”
