Happy (Belated) Chinese New Year!

Americare had the privilege of participating recently in a Chinese New Year celebration hosted at the Greater New York Social and Health Adult Day Care Center in Flushing, Queens.

Attendees – including seniors, elected officials, community activists, and more – featured delicious food, great conversation, and (as you can see here), a dance performance.

This popular event was put on hold for the past two years due to concerns about COVID-19, but it was back with more merriment and excitement than ever this year.

The Chinese New Year occurred on Jan. 22, 2023. This is the Year of the Rabbit, which is the symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. We wish all of our newsletter readers a successful and healthy year, and we’ll be back with you in March.
